As a memorial of the people killed during the Malvinas conflict between Argentina and the UK in 1982, the Radio  Club Córdoba (LU4HH) would activate a beacon from the city of Córdoba, Argentina (Grid FF78UP) with the callsign LU1XZ/H of the Malvinas Radio Club, founded during the elapsed of the conflict under the brief Argentina’s administration; this callsign is now in custody of the Radio Club Córdoba.

The beacon will operate a short message in CW at 10 wpm from 7pm to 1am UTC in the following schedules and frequencies:


June 14th,17th and 20th 40 mts 7032 KHz

June 15th and 18th 10 mts 28190 KHz

June 16th ,19th 20 mts 14100 KHz


QSL received providing reports either thru bureau or direct will be answered with a special QSL for the event, please include a SASE if you send it direct. Also reports thru the eQSL system will be answered.
